Formé en 1975 à Londres, les Sex Pistols ont lancé le mouvement punk au Royaume-Uni et inspiré de nombreux groupes de punk et de rock. Menés par Johnny Rotten et Sid Vicious à la basse, ils ont sorti leur célèbre titre « God Save the Queen ». Avec un seul album, « Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols », et une carrière de deux ans et demi, ils ont été intronisés au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en 2006, mais ont refusé d'assister à la cérémonie.
